The Full Story
ISWnorthwest offer a wide range of ISW services. The majority of our work is in; Supervised Contacts, Parenting Assessments, and support to Residential Family Assessment Centres (RFC's). We can and do also do more specific peices of work such as Stage 2 complaint investigations, C&F assessments as part of a complaint or tribunal process, Section 7 reports.
ISWnorthwest has a passion for delivering high quality work for children and their parents across the north west. ISWnorthwest believes that Supervised Contact should be an enjoyable expereince for children and their parents. After supervising countless contact sessions, ISWnorthwest has become adept at efficiently supervising contact and offering parenting advice whilst still allowing children to see their parents in more familiar locations. This might be a parents home, a local park, a restaurant. ISWnorthwest has contact with various play centres and can also offer supervised contacts in such settings out of hours where the facility is quieter for families.
ISWnorthwest strives to produce the best quality work whether that be a social work assessment, court report or complaint investigation. We offer a supervision and QA support services to other ISW's and social workers working in RFC's as we understand this assessment work is very intense and specific.
ISWnorthwest prides itself on been a clear communicator with parents and professionals alike.
ISWnorthwest will work in an open and honest way to support families, courts and local authorities to ensure that children are safeguarded and provided the best opportunities possible.
Where we work
The nature of being an ISW tends to involve an element of travel. ISWnorthwest is obviously based in the North West of England, however, we are proud to have provided services / assessments with families in the following places;
Liverpool, St Helens, Halton, Bradford, Leeds, Warrington, Stockport, Preston, Knowsley, Wrexham, Sefton, Blackpool, Birmingham, Lincolnshire, Manchester, Wakefield, Cheshire, Shropshire, Rhyl, Reading.
Our ISW's
We are incredibly proud of the ISW's who work with us. We call them our associates and we currently have 8 registered ISW's. All have at least 10 years experience so are incredibly strong and knowledgable social workers. Most have held management roles or worked for cafcass so everyone understands the processes and procedures of local authority and private law arena work.
